Amy Todd :: Bio
Biography
Amy Todd received an undergraduate degree in Art Practice from the University of California, Berkeley before completing her graduate studies at the Rhode Island School of Design. She creates narrative works using photographic techniques with imagery derived from video. While most of her work has been personal in nature, exploring the emotional, relational, and historical/mnemonic aspects of familial relationships, she has also worked in depth with the temporal and psychological nature of place as exemplified in her work from time spent living in South Africa.
Amy Todd has taught at the San Francisco Art Institute, the University of California-Davis, the University of the Pacific, and the Rhode Island School of Design.
She lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.
